Sort of this has been asked 500 times already. I’ve researched but I’m having trouble finding the correct values.
Just bought my iid a few days ago so I’m still very new to this. I’m running 285 60 18 which makes the Speedo spot on (I don’t want to change my Speedo values at all). But my odometer is now reading exactly 5% under.
How do I change this?

Oh. I was under the understanding that there’s a way of getting the odometer and Speedo both running spot on with an iid.

On my MY10 D4 there were 2 tasks, the first being to correct the speedo for standard tyres by changing the market settings to use 2%+0kph instead of the factory setting of 3.5%+2kph for which there were 2 sets of places to be changed then the tyre sizing had to be changed in a couple of spots to correct the speedo for the larger tyres and also to get cruise control speed to match the speedo speed. One of the spots had to be entered in hex, but this was using a Faultmate not an IIDtool and for MY10, so maybe not very helpful.

Using a Nanocom the speedo correction was done by editing the CCF and re-uploading to the vehicle, not a settings change on the unit itself, so to speak. Does the ID tool work the same way?

You wont be able to adjust the odometer value. Its not possible due to law and temper prevention.
Changing the tires was not the way to do it, you needed to change this setting;
Menu--Car Config--Instrument Pack, Tyre Size MSB - IPC, this adjusts the speed. It may affect odometer but I cannot confirm.
Do not leave the tool connected permanently. Disconnect after use as per the user manual. If you forget to close the App or a non covered situation occurs, it could drain the battery.

Having said that, is there a way of adjusting the fuel per/km used values? Mine, like everyone else’s is rather hopeful

Noting that my vehicle is MY12 and that the CCF may be different for later vehicles, my IIDtool allows changing of my L322's market specifications for the speedo between 2% +3.5kph and 0% + 2kph, appearing to be a description parameter, plus the specific scaling percentage and kph offset values, although the percentages and kph offset aren't restricted to the 2 market options. I haven't tried to change my tyre size as my current tyres are almost 32" and 5-6% larger so the speedo is correct using the factory 2%+3.5kph values, but I'm soon to change to 31" tyres so will be looking to get the speedo as close as possible to being correct. I don't have an issue with the odometer being understated but account for it in any fuel consumption calculations.
Tyre size options don't provide for larger tyres, only smaller ones possibly for earlier vehicles with 29" tyres in various configurations. Faultmate appears to have the same limited range.
The IID tool's LSB option only provides for a couple of tyre sizes whereas the BBS Faultmate provides for both the MSB and LSB (most & least significant bytes of the loaded tyre radius, not a selectable nominal tyre size) which can be set to appropriate values for the currently-fitted tyres. Faultmate wins here.
Tyre rolling circumference allows a limited range, again appearing to be only for nominal 29" and 30" tyres. Faultmate has the same limited range. I'm currently using the highest which is still a size in the nominal 30" size.
Trip computer fuel economy is where the fudge factor is set. My L322's range is -7.5 to +8 in 0.5 increments and I've set it to 4.0 which is very close for normal running about but still 2L/100km optimistic when towing my van.
I have full CCF access having requested it from Gap. Select Complete CCF (untested) to see all the parameters.
