    D4 Suspension Purchase

I'm going to replace front and rear suspension and wanted to know where did you buy the bits from? I've checked out Adv Factors, Island 4x4, British Parts & LR Direct. The biggest difference between those supplies seems to be in freight prices. Has anyone sourced product locally. My checks so far have been very expensive though I would prefer to buy locally.

I bought all mine from AF in stages, each time under 1000 aud. Saves on freight and gst. Don't forget the 5% AF discount code "AF4LRP".

I priced it all locally and still worked out cheaper from OS. I spent about 5k all up, including new air struts, all control arms all round, new bearings at each corner and new front hd sway bar links. Labour to remove and refit was mine.

I have been buying from TRS in Sydney lately, I've been impressed with service and prices

Try Southerns/Barbagallo, you might be pleasantly surprised especially if you’re a TW4 member.

Finally purchased through Adv Factors UK $1900 delivered for 2 front & 2 rear shock assemblies. Closest local suppler was going to be $2900. Don't know what I'm going to hit by customs here so we'll wait and see.

….you really should have split the order and kept each below $1000. Would save you a lot.

AF are not registered to collect GST, and customs will only charge you GST and duty on shipments above $1000.

    That’s my preference also.

I’d ship 2 at a time in seperate deliveries

And ordered 3-4 days apart just to make sure they don’t land at customs together.

    Nothing fishy going on here!

Me 3. You will get a notification that your goods will not be released until duty and taxes are paid. I would expect 5% duty and then 10%GST on the total.

I ordered 2 x front and 2 x rear from island 4x4 in December. I purchased each pair separately which cost me a bit more in postage but I figured I’d save on customs. Turns out they post each strut separately anyway so I could have ordered all 4 at once and paid the one shipping fee (225gbp)
It worked out at $1730aud all up.
