Hi guys,
I have just purchased a 2015 Discovery 4 TDV6. I was trying to find out whether my engine was a DPF one or not so I could do an oil change. The VIN number is SALLAAAN5FA747819.
There seems to be the letter 'N' where the engine description is according to the chart I found in AULRO. See chart below.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
Cheers
Forgive my ignorance, but why does having a dpf or not determine whether or not you can do an oil change? It may affect the oil you choose, but most quality full synthetic oils for diesels have low ash producing compounds and low Sulphur and are dpf suitable. I've run penrite enviro plus C4 5W30 in mine for the last 100,000km with no issues at all, this oil is dpf or non dpf vehicle suitable.

I will chuck my head under the passenger door when I pick it up next week. Cheers for the advice!
Now I’m curious. My 2013 is badged Land Rover on the bonnet, has no other markings except Discovery on the rear door. When I plug in the iid it lists it as a SDV6 somewhere in the menu. I thought that I had an SE TDV6?
