What is this light?

Workshop manual says it is the "Air Suspension Warning Indicator". [bigsmile1]

OK you need more than the handbook. I had the same light which was a 50Amp fuse failure. It is under the bonnet in the fuse box where the battery is, a square yellow one a bit like a relay worth checking. Nick

I've given this some thought and hereby put forward 'Theory One'!

The driver weighs in at 60 odd kg. The front passenger at 120+ kg and the rear passenger, also on passenger side, behind big, fat bloke, at 90kg.
So, 60kg on RHS and 210kg+ on LHS.

Now, ascending the last section of a very windy and steep road, i.e. Nambour to Mapleton, this light came on. On reaching the top and turning the vehicle off, the light did not re-appear during the ensuing hour's drive home.

Theory: ' I'm thinking that the severe imbalance of load, during the steep, sharp curves, somehow confused the DSC and it thought there was something amiss with the suspension. '

This would be the most financially beneficial theory, one would think? [smilebigeye]

I highly doubt it, more like there is some wear in the suspension just enough to throw a sensor out of range.
And tell those fatties to go on a diet [bigrolf]

If you google "Suspension warning light Discovery 3" you will find that this light can be either orange or red, depending on the severity of the fault I suppose. But the light indicates a suspension fault.

Without codes we're all guessing.

I code checked when we got home and there were no issues!

The light was 'Orange', by the way.

There's never "just one of those things" on a Landrover (particularly when the EAS is involved). It obviously knew you were safe and not in a hurry. It's just lying in wait until you are in a critical spot before that orange light comes up red.
