AMK compressor only the o rings and desiccant are easily done. I also replaced the exhaust valve solenoid which you can get genuine from LR. Don’t know if mine was faulty but it’s only $60 part and my errors were exhaust valve related. Likely the good clean up did the job.
Could I ask a part number on the valve solenoid?
The suspension error I'm getting is about not venting quickly enough - the compressor itself is definitely pumping up very well, my mechanic is pretty sure the problem is the exhaust valve (or solenoid - is there a difference?).
My GAP IID is telling me it's a Hitachi compressor, but I gather that doesn't necessarily mean that's what is actually on the car?
Are the black plastic parts of the compressor different on AMK and Hitachi (and Dunlop etc) or is it just the motor/compressor itself?
What's the chances there's a good person on the forum with a changed out valve body they're willing to part with? (he says on knees with hands clasped)?
