BAS egr blank via gap tool

Or if your EGR's are still functioning you can just fit the plates like i did, will do a remap at some stage.

I tried this and the car would just randomly fault . Sometimes would do it 5 times within a short distance and sometimes would go a whole day with nil faults. I can't remember the code as it was years ago but this was with the pipes blanked, butterfly removed and egrs functional.

Depends on the vehicle. That is not true for the D4's, but might be so for earlier D3's...

Correct but op has a D3.... , works on my EURO4 D3.

Just out of curiosity - what build date is your vehicle? Mine is also a MY08 Euro4 (built Nov 2007) so wondering if i could get away without a tune.

May 07, i do get the occasional EGR fault in GAP but doesn't affect the running and doesn't put the engine fault light on.
I will get a remap once i get some other big items out of the way.

Ours is a late 07 build MY08 serial 61674 and it got extremely unhappy blanking the EGRs without the patch.

Mine Sep 07 build and needs patch to blank EGRs.

My egr valves are still working (po replaced them) and everything is still in place apart from the intake butterfly and just plates fitted between the valves and coolers.
