For about the same price, this ones been serviced by Dazza so you would get a very honest opinion on condition so worth a look: carsales.com.au
Better spec too, with 7 seats and the larger radio screen
I just can not believe how cheap they go for, speaks volumes about the market and what they are worth, not so long ago late D4 would have been double that price[bigsad]
I might have to rethink keeping or selling mine as I have been considering getting into a new car as remote travel in a 10 year old LR is possibly asking for trouble or am I just paranoid due to reputation, mine has been absolutely faultless in 7 years of ownership other than the front end shudder over bumps which is in the process of being addressed
How remote?

In 2019 transmission it gave the big F transmission fault before we got to Katherine (only 300km into the trip). Nursed it through the trip and replaced it in the Oct. Other than an ailing starter battery in 2022 that wasn't a show stopper due to a portable solar panel and a Traxide kit, we've only had a couple of suspension faults cleared with the Nanocom.
7/23 - Darwin - Timber Creek - (Buchanan Hwy to) Dunmarra - 600km back to Darwin is planned subject to the Buchanan being repaired following large rainfall.
As Tombie will say - it's MNOP. Maintenance 'N Obviously Preparation. However we all make our own choices based on our own circumstances.
PS: Towing a 1.4T camper trailer
I've just put my funds into a 21 day term deposit which will stop me making a decision until I get back from 2 weeks in Bali.
Had a call from my Doc yesterday who told me I have a completely torn tendon in my shoulder, so I guess I will be living the legacy of the prang a little longer than I had hoped!!
Anyway, he said swimming would be good, and my wife has found a "healing location" that we are going to visit. I'll just go with the flow and see how it goes.
Thanks everyone.
