Yeah, rotator cuff tears are not good. I've done both, both repaired and then one torn a second time. Not repaired.

I had an insane idea to try and do this one day. There are several websites out there with more info and ideas.

Did you only research the other cars (vw, Mazda etc) above, or buy them?
Driving dynamics aside, why did they not do the job? (And why will the D4 succeed where they did not?)
Apologies P38A, cripesamighty and Veebs, I missed these replies. P38a, bad luck, I am afraid rotator cuff tears etc part of getting older without sitting in slippers in front of the fire. Thanks for the links, cripesamighty, maybe I am not so silly. But I want to go a bit further. We like free camping, so an on-board bathroom is essential. We like eating, so a good kitchen and fridge are needed. And did I mention the wine cellar?
Veebs, yes, I bought a Mazda, a Ford and the VW. The first two were sold quite quickly, the VW we still have and I think it is very good, but I sooo prefer driving the Disco.
I haven't given up yet!
Cheers all!
Oh, and just so I know, is there much difference between driving a Disco 3 and Disco 4? I am a bit reluctant to take the hot spanner to our 4.... the only new car I have ever bought, and the best car I have ever driven in 56 years as a motoring enthusiast!
