Is this part of my car?

I was cleaning our D4 on the weekend and found this wedged under the front passenger seat - it must've been dropped down there by the previous owner.

It's evidently not part of the seat mechanism but did it originally come off my D4 or did the previous owner just happen to have hydraulic hose parts rolling around in the car?

That's a heavy truck, female air coupler. Definitely not from a D4, or any Land Rover.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Could have been used for the base coupling of a sand flag on the bull bar

Possibly Muddy, but taking more than a glance reveals that it is actually a converter. It allows shop air to be applied to the signal line of a trailer or dolly.

Heavy being the operative word, it's 262 grams.

There's no bull bar on our D4, but there is a surprising amount of dirt in the thing, which is odd - unless it'd been on the ground somewhere and the prior owners picked it up. It wouldn't've got that dirty from being in the car.
