Its only after working on the trans nothing else was touched

Check the capacitor on the side of the trans.

thanks for everyone's help. it turned out to be when i put the valve body back on i lined up the linkage but missed the second thing to line up with the linkage that sends the signal that shows what positions the trans is eg park neutral and so on. Problem solved

Taking the pan on and off so many times in quick succession deserves a special medal. Well done.
