*another workshop close to me said the same thing, they remove them and fit a genuine one.

Given a Genuine part is like $120 why would anyone even consider an alternative...
I still find it funny how we’ve normalised that these components are consumable. It really shouldn’t be hard to make a part to have a life longer than seven years.
