Get a scan tool like the GAP and then you can just raise it to what height you want when off road and you won’t have to worry about the 40kph lowering issue. That’s what I do when I go away off road. Once I’m back reset it to standard.
Much more expensive option than rods, but you’ll need a decent code reader anyway so it’s a good solution
Like Tombie I am running 265-65-18. Happy with this setup. Only minimal rub at full lock.
If you can run off road at normal height I think that is the best outcome.
I have the Gap tool and love it but don’t run different heights off road. As you can lift in extreme situations that is probably the best scenario. Running at normal height is better for the vehicle from a wear and geometry perspective.
If the vehicle was non airbag then a lift would be a good option.
