I ended up going to Vmax brakes, helpful and pricing is ok. Note I upgraded my D3 for the larger diameter rotors for the V8 D3.
Front pair R type slotted discs VMAX12461R
Rear pair R type slotted discs VMAX12474R
Front pads GDB1631EU
Rear pads GDB1632EU
Will do the job next saturday.
job done over the weekend, did rear park brake shoes as well. They are a PITA. [bawl]
Full day on Sat and about 3 hrs sunday. Did a fluid flush while I was at it.

As a small reminder the braided steel flex brake hose kits are inexpensive and a great addition to the braking strength. I got the Britpart kit for the D3 which was really good. Changing these at same time as fluid is a good combo.
Been quite a long time since I have worked on the brakes so yes you do forget that knowledge.
I did consider replacing those flex hoses. Brit part though I am not a fan of generally.
