    Tailgate noisy and vibrates

    Hi !
Would anyone know how to adjust the tailgate ? It rattles when driving on bumpy tracks and is so annoying :-(
    Is this a common , known issue ? Just purchased my Disco4 SDV6, 180,000km, 2015 HSE.

Most unusual. I wonder if there's been an accident repair. It will be adjustable, when I have a few minutes I'll take a look.

Yeah like all latches, the lock/latch receiver will likely be adjustable to bring more clamping. Agree, not heard of ever.

Yes, if you remove the shroud around the upper tail gate ‘eye’ it can be adjusted to apply more pressure on the rubber stops. It’s a bit tricky to adjust. I adjusted it pretty tight and left the two bolts slightly loose then closed it to allow some settling. Then tighten it fully. Might take a few goes. Too tight it’s hard to close too loose it vibrates and it’s a very annoying rattle.

Check the lower tailgate catches. The bolts on the side that the catch 'catches' on were slightly worn and hence there was a continuous rattle. I gave up trying to adjust the rattle out and just wrapped some electrical tape around them. Rattle now gone!

PS. Just thought, I wonder if swapping the bolts from one side to the other might fix it as the stricking/wear points would be different.
