Wiper Blade Replacements for D3/RRS

I put on 2 new front blades on 2 weeks ago - the left one is a Tridon and the right one is a Bosch (both about $36 each) - also put Rainex on the screeen.

They have only been used once and already make noise - both when the blade changes direction and the Tridon skips across the screen.

Both a waste of money - the $6 generic Repco blades put into the current holders work as well.

As I do not have any issues on my other cars I suspect it is actually a design/airflow issue with the car rather than the blades.

These things should be better on a $100K car.

Gary,

Adjust the attack angle of the blade to the screen, you will find that it will fix the judder & make less noise in operation.

The blade is probably sitting perpendicular to the glass, grab a pair of pliers & slightly bend/rotate the arm downwards. Was a common adjustment in all earlier vehicles.

Thanks Pete - mine already lay over and the noise comes when the arm changes direction and the blade has to move from being laid over, then stand up and then lay over on the opposite side as the arm goes back the other way - maybe I need mine to stand up a bit more.

One blade behaves different to the other so maybe one needs to stand up more and the other a little less.
