Hi Neil,
I don't think that the SE will be the base model in Oz, it will probably continue to be the S.
On that basis, the SE will have the 3.0L donk and so the question is superfluous.
Best Wishes,
Peter

I hope you're right Peter.
I want the 5l V8 and I think I'm going to have to go for a HSE
I wont be getting an HSE just to get the 3.0, but I'll pay a bit more to get it in the SE if it's an option rather than std.
My guess ( and it certainly is .... ) is that the 3l will be $4000 more
than the 2.7 . Also the S & SE range will be another $3000 more than
current price structure ..... The HSE will be heaps more since the inclusions will be significantly more.
This will be LRA chance to up their margin, again
Why let BMW, Audi and Merc have all the fun and profit.
If the 5L V8 is available in an SE ,I'm not an Evertonian .... oh , I am .....
Those prices are about where I've drawn a line although I'd hope a 2.7 SE to not go up by quite that much.
I'd like LR to hurry up and release specs and prices so I can make the decision and then forget about D3s/D4s for a while.
X2
but remember LR will want to clear the old models,so i bet this wont be released till just before they are released on the market, sometime in the last quarter of the year.
This is a buggar for me as the small business stimulus thingy runs out at the end of June.:(
I've been assured by a dealer that I'll have plenty of time to get my business order in by June 30 for 1st shipment delivery by Dec 31 to get the investment allowance.

useful in understanding the draft legislation. My read is that you only need to enter into a contract prior to 30-6-09 and can take delivery any time up to 30-6-10 to qualify. On the downside - the LCT comes into play reducing the maximum deduction to around $17,500
