    as the case may be.

OL Australia is the manufacturer of the bar not a dealer in Queensland or Newcastle and the manufacturer has not demonstrated this, nor do they intend to.

I want a bar for my car, I would love for all this to be legal etc as we have seen time and time again they fit well, but having taken this up with the manufacturer there is clearly an issue with compliance for a RRS.

If anyone wants one fitted, go right ahead but do it with your eyes wide open and understand the possible ramifications for warranties and roadworthieness.

Also note the ARB bar also fits the RRS as well but we do not see ARB dealers trying to flog their bars for fitment to the RRS. I guess the same for the Landrover genuine D4 bar - not sold for fitment to a RRS.

this is what OL in Adelaide told me via email:

"Hi Martin,I have word back from the engineer that the bar is fine and will be ADR compliant on the Range Rover Sport."

So another dealer not the actual manufacturer.

That is a Boomer Bull Bar - it is made in Qld and is aluminium. It is specifically made for the RRS but the owner of Boomer says he has never gone through any sort of certification and is not airbag certified.

There you go.. my MY10 with the obligatory OL bar

and according to OL Brookvale it is fully ADR and SRS compliant, otherwise they would be in deep **** for fitting it from a legal perspective.

    Thanks
