Opposite Lock is the best bar to fit (is a D3 Bar) - they modify their fitting kit and are familiar installing the D3 bar on a RRS.
The issue still remains the legality, as the D3 bar is not certified for the RRS so is illegal to fit even though it goes straight on. I have asked OL and ARB why they have not certified their bars for the RRS but both have said that there is not the market to warrant going through the certification process.
So fit but understand the legal aspects.

No I do not have one. I would have one fitted in an instant but not prepared to go the illegal route.
For me ir is just too risky.

Fair enough, mate. Have a look at Nick Roberts Global Rally Team and his RRS. Looks tough. I put a before and after pic from his page up in my introduction post.
There are plenty of RRS running around with OL and some ARB bars on them, as there are plenty of cars running around with illegal wheels/tyres, lifts and other modifications - its all about the risk you are prepared to take.
Thankfully the issue of fitting a compliant D3 bar on a RRS is not likely to impact anyone else and the issue is more technical than a safety issue for others.

Just checked... They one we fitted is OL, it's for a d4 and they told us it is ADR certified and legal on a sport...now whether or not it actually is...Quote:

This pic is an example for an ARB on a Rodeo so you need something like this but for a RRS - and not a D4 - if OL will provide it then they are saying the bar is compliant.

I'm not sure how similar the front area is between an RRS and D3/4 but the bar fitting kits come with brackets for remounting some items that are attached to the original bumper like the front valve block and washer bottle.
This has been discussed many times before. I was going to fit OL bar had purchased one colour coded it etc was at OL dealer who'd fitted them before to RRS. But - when pushed - and when OL head office were asked the D4 bar is not ADR compliant with RRS. So whoever told you it is sounds like wishful thinking.
All good. I went to the Perth 4WD and Adventure show on the weekend and was told by members of a club (who also previously worked at OL) that they were the first to fit the D4 bar to a RRS in WA. They had word from a pal in SA (who is also an Engineer) that the D4 and the RRS share the same chassis so in compliance terms it's fine.
