    Suspension Struts

Had a look at my air struts on my 2007 RRS bought second hand 2 yrs ago with ,128k on the clock , now has 148k , and they have a Label which says Land Rover and Delphi on each one .

Can i assume that a new set of aftermarket struts had been fitted at some time or did Delphi supply LR with air struts for manufacture . Thanks 4 any info .

I don't know for certain but I would guess they're original. Mine did close to 200k before dying (shocks not bags)

The original front struts are getting replaced this week on my L322 at 260,000km whether they're needed or not. It will be interesting to see what they look like when they come off.

I took a gamble and bought new front struts from this overseas supplier.

Range Rover Sport Air Suspension Parts and Compressors | Aerosus

For the money to be saved, I was prepared to give them a go.

They've been in for a week now, and seem to be fine. Time will tell.

Don't forget to factor in import duty.

    Cheers

    Hi David,

What brand struts did you buy? And we're they complete with bags? Or did you have to swap out the bottoms?

    Thanks

    Hi Jeremy

The brand is Aerosus, the link to their website is in my previous post. From what I could tell, they are an aftermarket producer of air suspension components for a wide range of European vehicles including Land Rover. The product is made in Germany, so I thought quality control should be fairly high.

It is a brand new strut and airbag unit all in one. I needed to get the extra bit for the Variable Damper System (vds) which adds a little bit to the cost.

    Cheers

    Hi David,
How much did you end up paying for a pair of air struts including import duty if you don't mind me asking

    Cheers
    Rav
