Could be water in the transfer case module which is not a sealed and a common culprit for engine bay water. The transfer case module is a HS canbus gateway that isolates the engine/gbox/abs side of the canbus from the more general various other modules on the HS canbus so if it fails then lots of other modules get comms errors. Note that the ecm will shut down the HS canbus if it detects a fault so waiting some time to allow for drying to see if the fault condition clears might be an option.
