    Sorted

got it sorted with help from the Disco forum, fitted a pair of relays into the indicator feed to put a physical break in the circuit so the pulse can't get to the LEDs

Made one to permanently mount in the camper and need a second portable one for other trailers, easy to make, used the Narva type dummy load resistors and a couple of Bosch mini relays I had floating around.

This is the design by Colin Pederson, from 2010, I also used the design to build a box to eliminate both the non recognition of the trailer leds and the flashing problem. I put it in a box with whips and a socket so I can use it on any led trailer. The dummy resistors allows recognition of the trailer attached and the relays defeat the flashing
