Go to a LR Dealer with the Vin and ask them to look it up for you. If they are nice they will happily do it, if not they will tell you to ....... off - or charge you a fortune.

    You can but try .

You could also go on the UK RRS or D3 site and ask someone there who has the right access to look it up for you.

    Good luck with it.

But that is basically the same information as you already had - it does clarify one thing in that the 2009 on Topix is not build date but Model Year. So your build date information is consistent with Topix in that Topix does not supply actual build date.

The dealer should be able to provide you with the level of detail that the post by Geedublya has in his PDF. By the way Geedublya, it looks as if you have been slacking in the servicing of your car .

Actually the problem is that Land Rover service departments don't put the information on the system. Thankfully I still have a service book which has been stamped but the newer cars don't. A number of L494 RRS I looked at didn't have up to date service information on Topix and I had to ask the owners for evidence.

I have a suspicion Land Rover has done this to try and keep owners coming back to dealers and not to use independents.

so some good news and some bad news.

i called up land rover solitaire, the place where it got serviced.
they wernt able to tell me the fitted options as the computer was broken, but he could tell me the service history. he didnt want to tell me anything as he didnt have the owners permission. but he told me anyway, lol. all minor things. replace brake pads, split intercooler hose, tighten battery terminals.

ive got an RAA inspection booked for friday. then we haggle.

Ring Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide with your identifiers on (08) 8384 6933. They did it for me. TDV8 in that vintage is a yummy car, trust me. I have the voice command on mine but never use it. The lever is in between the 2 steering wheel spokes on the LHS of the wheel.
