non functioning rear door lock MY2011 RRS

Guys- on my MY2011 RRS my driver side rear door will not unlock electronically- its even hard to manually unlock ( can feel resistance when unlocking with door lever) has anyone come across this , and is there any clever dick solution please?

Door actuators are known to give problems especially the rears on D3/D4 and L320 RRS. On my previous D3 I removed the actuators for both rear doors and got them working again. On my D4 I had to replace the drivers side rear actuator which I could lock and unlock manually but it would not lock or unlock using the remote or exterior button.

Yes, a common problem. I have had both rear door actuators replaced on my 2011 L320.
I did not attempt a repair myself.

I don't know about RRs, but on my Defender at one stage the wire which runs from the body through a grommet into the door got pinched so the lock wasn't receiving the signal. Is that possible on yours?
