    Starting problem 2006 RRS V8

    Hi All,

Mate of mine has one the above, petrol, cranks fine but won't fire.

He also says that the key has to be manually turned to stop it cranking.

    Any ideas?

    TIA, DL

I know nothing about the cars.... but if he's suggesting problems with the ignition switch at the same time as it doesn't want to start.................................. I'd be looking at the ignition switch first it sounds like the electrical contacts in it have expired.

Check fuel deivery. The switch is designed to be flicked on and it cranks till it fires. This is a function that can be adjusted too in the settings file for engine management using advanced diagnostics
