The bush removal kit that loanrangie used was about $140 on eBay I think, if thats something that helps you out.
    Ok appreciate pic

140 more like it - will see if i can find that one. With that puller wont need to remove the arm to use press stand so will save time and effort i guess.

From what I can see using online pictures (Meyle site) the Meyle bush has a continuous rubber ring on face (marked A) and and solid metal ring/flange to the outside (marked

    (Picture from Meyle site)

So the pulling gear does not need the special cutout that the original rover bushes needed. But I would need a ring exactly the same size as the outer flange marked B above.

So std puller will do the job - if I am lucky my bearing and push pulling set has the right size (diameter and depth) - will have to check when get home.
Otherwise will look into the link Disco-tastic has provided for a new set.

Correct, in the bush tool set i got the largest cup sits over the rubber and onto the metal sleeve of the bush. Still a bit tricky to get it to sit right while pressing them in, the front bush needs to be hacked as little to get the plate between the sleeve and the arm tube.
Luckily i used the old mans ramp/pit and some of his 30t press tools to get the job done.
$155 for the kit which should pretty much cover all the bushes on the vehicle.

    .
Not 100% sure what comment this means as I have never seen the bushes.

So I am 100% not sure how the 'front' front differs from the 'front' rear bush - although I see the Meyle bush (LR part number LR055291) is only for the rear of the front lower arm. So the rear is the only one that leaks and this Meyle rubber one is a better design?

I presume the front bush (Land Rover Front Lower Control Arm Bushing LR055288) is the same as this one I found on the net

And this is a standard bush - i.e. rubber and the rubber extends onto the outer flange - and this is what you refer to cutting the rubber on the outer edge back?

So do you mean trimming kind of where the red line is in this pic (stolen from ebay retailer site)
    Front Bush trim.JPG

If using the Meyle type bush for the rear is there all the drama as per the service manual about the orientation of the bush or is it like a normal bush - get it all the way in and then good to go?

And does the Delphi type ones above need the special orientation?

Still wondering if better to just by Meyle arms and install whole new unit.

Front bush is pressed hard against the tube so no room to get behind it without some work to remove, pressing in is fine.
Rear bush sits proud about 5mm so a bearing plate can get behind it to sit on the tube.

Ok just went out and got under the truck so see what you mean re rear is proud but front it not.

I was assuming I would just press out from the rear somehow
