    Recommended lower control arm bushes?

2012 RRS - needs lower front control arm bushes

I am planning to do myself so looking for recommendation as to best bush design that now available and people have experience with.

Any tips - I have manual and have read posts and seen videos re process - marking before removal and torquing after at ride height noted.

Do I need any special tools to press back in? - seems the bushes I can see on line have a funny flange so might need to make a socket that has a cut out I guess.

    Thanks in advance
    Skiboy

Meyle HD and you will need a variety of tools , easiest if you remove the arms.
I replaced mine in situ using a bush pressing set.

You'll need a large bearing puller plate to get between the lip of the bush and the arm, front bushes are a tight fit and little space to get a grip of it.

You will need something wider and same height as the bush to sit on the bearing plate to pull against.

I am tempted to fab up an insert tool using say 10mm think alloy. Hmm actual tools seem a little dear for what they are!

Yeah they can be exxy! I more posted it so that you could see what it looked like, but was in a bit of a rush so disnt really explain myself.

The bush removal kit that loanrangie used was about $140 on eBay I think, if thats something that helps you out.

Edit: I think it was like this one
