2007 RRS TDV8 drivers seat fuse keeps blowing

Hi folks - keep getting the drivers electric seat adjustment blowing fuses when adjusting seat position.. any ideas? Is it a known thing that causes it or do I just need to have a good look for a short or something?

My guess is that one of the wires going to the seat is shorting due to the seat moving back and forth. Removing the seat and checking out the wiring is the first place I would look.
If the fuse doesn’t blow with the seat disconnected the fault is most likely in the seat. If it does blow look further back.

We had this on a 2005 rrs, on ours the problem was a short, under the seat base there is a loom, it gets caught between some metal framework and shorts out, it would only do it when someone was on the seat though as that's when it got pushed together, that's where I'd be starting..

There a 4 torx bolts that hold the bum padding in place. Remove that base on you have a bird eye view of wiring and connectors. Also does the fuse blow on all seat adjustments or a particular one,as they have more than one motor.
