Install Red arc brake controller 2011 Sport help

    Hello all

I’ve just put my Mitch Hitch on (much harder than the instructions suggest!), and now need to install an electric brake controller. Thinking the Red Arc is the way to go.

Is the 2011 sport pre wired for this? I’ve read heaps of posts, and now I’m just confused. Does it have the plug under the dash, or does the car need to be wired front to back with the trim removed as the auto elec suggested?

Recommendations for someone to do this in Melb, or the Mornington Peninsula.

Also, any pics of a nice neat place to mount the dial appreciated.

No plug is fitted to your vehicle. Best to use a brake light wire at the rear as the trigger. Furthermore if not already done, the Australian standard electric brake wire in the trailer socket is wired to be a 2nd trailer tail-light so that wire has to be cut to prevent the trailer brakes being applied whenever the parkers are on.

Look for the D4 thread on wiring a trailer brake controller wiring as your vehicle will require the same treatment.
