    Front and Rear Wheel Bearings

My RRS is just under 200,000km and needs new lower control arm bushes. I will get the upper ball joints and steering rack tie rod ends done as well.

The front wheel bearings (and rears) are original so have a lot of kms on them but there is no evidence of any abnormal wear at this stage. I am up on the front bearings so after suggestions that as the LCAs are being done is it worthwhile getting them done at the same time?

That begs the question of the rear wheel bearings. When getting this work done I will get the rear brake disks replaced so I guess if I do the fronts to get the rears done as well - again the rears are fine just have high Km.

I don't know much about the rear wheel bearings - are they the same as the front in that you buy the hub complete with Timkin bearings or do you just do the bearings in isolation of the hubs?

    Thanks

    Garry
