Drivers Arm Rest Removal by force....

So the standard guide is: wind knob all way out, remove cap and screw at pivot point, angle arm rest at appx 45deg, and slide of pivot point.

Passenger came off easy enough, but the drivers would just not budge. I tried much different angle tweaks and force.

In the end I applied heavy force from end of arm rest towards passenger side and i think i cracked it a little but it came off.

The problem was the pin that you are lining up with the slot on the arm rest was not in far enough so it was like 5mm too long, how land rover got it together i cant tell, as i had to use a hammer to bash the pin back in the right length, appx 14mm sticking out. Then the armrest went back on ok.

So instead of pulling the armrest off in line with the main rod, i had to twist it around so the armrest came off the main rod first at the top and then off the slot pin below after, if you can follow that ramble.

Land Rover didn’t put it together. Some contractor did.

Goodness knows what they do some times.
