But this thread is NOT about a D3/D4 it is about a RRS L320 and as I said open the bonnet, lock the car - the horn will sound once but the car is locked.

    D3 locks. It's the D4 that doesn't.

Which probably also means the early RRS L320 do and the later RRS L320 don’t.

Hello All, Just a quick update as we are back from our 7 1/2 month travels. I couldn't lock the car with the Bonnet open, car would beep and not lock. I ended up disconnecting the main battery and the auxiliary battery (which i took out of the car) connected the main battery wires to the Auxiliary battery out of the car, closed the doors and bonnet then disconnected the Auxiliary battery.

On return from our trip i charged the Auxiliary Battery and connected to the wires hanging out of the car, car came alive with horn going, unlocked the car and opened the bonnet. Fitted all leads correctly and started the car "jumping" off the auxiliary battery the Traxide set up.

Car has just been for a service and seems to be running well, Cranking battery seems to have survived and is holding OK charge. Battery is possibly low on charge but will get a good run this week.

Hope this helps somebody looking to long store their vehicle.
