Surely that 148kw number and the rest is at the wheels not the engine. A 2.7 in relatively new condition is just below those numbers at the engine.
long time no see (i can hear the mods groaning)
i wanted to post something i had not seen before, the dyno run of my 3.6l v8 diesel twin turbo L320 RRS.
it has a aftermarket tune from TRS, pulling 148kw @ 3569rpm & 436Nm @ 2896rpm
these numbers are smaller than i expected. i was expecting 200kw and 600Nm. 600Nm as the RRS is almost able to keep up (abit lower redline) with my HSV maloo pulling 350kw and 700Nm.
of concern during the dyno run, the guy said my EGT were 750c at WOT!
reading a post by Tombie, he said there is a built in EGT that the gap tool can read.
I went and found it, but mine is static, it reads 212f and never changes.
I made a call to TRS, they said its part of the EGR system, which is "tuned out" as part of the tune. so I cant monitor EGT which is annoying.

Well yes then they use a conversion factor to determine the power etc at the engine.
I would say that is about right then. My 2wd jag develops 300hp at the engine, and 200hp at the back wheels - so power at the wheels will normally be around 2/3 so your power at the back wheels is about right.
