Lightbulb access to exhaust flange bolts, snapped crank.

Hi, Jeff here, my RRS has a broken crank
appeared to happen as it was starting no other symptoms prior, engine locked solid
so i started the process of identifing the problem, jammed starter , oil pump, cams
    etc
finally got the sump loose enough so i could crack the main journal and big end
bearings, this enabked me to free the engine and remove the front half of the crank
all journals look in good nick, no scoring or scorching, released flexplate bolts, this is
where i hit a snag cannot get into the exhaust flanges to release the bolts of which
one is rounded, also it would be a challenge to get to the bellhousing bolts.
    Is there a way
to just lift the front of the body a few inches, im thinking release all but the back
chassis fixings, then maybe drop the front chassis or raise the front body, what is the
opinions? any body done it before. cheers thanks

The rear bolts would have to be loosened at least a little. The steering column might need to be detached at the joint just below where the column exits the body and some electrical connectors around the front are likely to need unplugging.

PS. I raised the back of a D4 off its chassis a few inches using jacks to lift the body.
