What value are you putting on the 3 years free servicing? I reckon that's worth about $2K. My last service (120,000Km) was $580.Quote:

Remember that anything over $57800 is not tax deductible, and that includes the GST that you can't claim back over that amount :mad:

I drove both RRS units this morning and without a doubt, the TDV8 left me giddy, whilst the TDV6 wasn't all too different from the beema...
Now it's just a case of convincing myself that an extra $20K is manageable :p

I reckon the D3 body style is one of the classic styling exercises in motor car history - right up there with the RRC and the Jaguar XJ6/ 12 of the early 70s. It is just a class expression of clean lines that also have excellent functionality.Quote:

I am in the market for a real brick,or butter box,as we used to call them,a hi ace,for work.
I have also been sorta half looking at the D3 or sport,although there are some good specials at the moment have decided to wait a little while.
As said the depreciation is massive,the more you spend,the more you loose.The other thing is next year the 3 TD litre will probably be in both of these vehicles.
There is also nothing wrong with the TD 5 i have ,so can wait,and i would rather use it for a cape trip this year,than a brand new vehicle.
If i had the extra bucks,and wasnt a tight ****,i would go the TD v8,but then again,the 3 litre may be nearly as powerful,when & if it gets here.
