I have always liked the idea of the L322 over the L320... given the right rims and colour scheme they certainly do the trick with the ladies :cool:
As for models i am after a 03-05 Diesel variant...
I have been reading the following site and found it to be VERY helpful on helping me make sure i have all the background knowledge before i dive in.

A Defender to an L322!! That's traversing the whole range, from one xtreme to the other.
We have an '03 TD6. Lovely car. You'll notice a LOT of changes coming from a Defender, that's for sure.....

Yep, the D3/D4/RRS got TR before the L322.
They did however steal the drive/train(s) from the L322. TDV8, V8SC, TDV6(3.0L) and their associated transmissions. The L322 had them first :cool:

Interesting to reflect upon your "lounge room" comment. My passenger mentioned that very thing over the CB to our companion vehicle (Toyota Troopy) as it was lurching from washout to washout north of Leigh Creek. He suggested that he was just sitting back for a nice GnT, it was so peaceful, quiet and smooth travelling in the Rangie.
We each have our particular loves and will defend them unto death. Neither do we begrudge others their choices.:angel:
James that is indeed a very useful page on rangerovers.net. Lots of good advice to be had from other experiences. Kinda like here really.

Just giving you a heads up with your choice of rangie. Still to this day I love driving mine. Got a set of genuine 20" rims from a 2007 supercharged. The guy I bought them off even had the original wheel nuts! not bad for $650 with only 30,000ks on them and no scratches :D I'm keeping the original 18's for when I take it offroad.
End of the day its worth waiting for the right one.. mine came up with only 99,000ks on it and was properly looked after.. had to deliver it from melbourne but that was way less hastle than I thought. The roadtrip from Melbourne to the Gold Coast was the best ever..never had a car with 1000k range before:)
End of the day I wanted a silver with grey interior.. but compromised with a black one with grey interior.. Black isn't as bad as I thought. To be honest its the first car I enjoy washing. Think it will be a while before I change this car me thinks..
