    Bargain spares of the century.

    Today I stumbled upon a wrecker in Sydney that is wrecking 2 l322 rangies, a td6 and a supercharged 4.2.

    I asked about a spare td6 gearbox, and ended up buying a complete drivetrain - engine, gearbox, transfer, front diff, steering, crossmembers, front axles/ cvs, hubs etc for $1000!

    I phoned a mate who instantly agreed to go halves. I will strip the engine down and inspect it, as it is very lightly fire damaged on the front, and I want to make sure no moisture has got in. The starter is missing, and the turbo may be stuffed as well.

    He also only wants 7.5k for the complete drivetrain from the supercharged one as well- including ecus and brembo brakes.

    Is this a potential starter for the first Australian P38 TDV6 conversion? as per the UK BodyLogic/Simteck conversion kit?

    If Andy doesn't reply today, search eBay - the wrecker has the supercharged engine listed at the moment (there can't be too many there so it sould be easy to find).
