    Angry Crap jack

Nearly lost a leg when that heap of rubbish jack gave way on me it just folded in half. Brand new Pirellis with only 100ks & I've got a puncture or may be a bad valve.

Jeez Mike, that's no good . The factory jacks really are garbage - I don't know how they get away with it...

    Lucky

Lucky i have a habit of putting the spare or the flat under the car just in case . I will pick up a bottle jack tomorrow . I can't believe that such a good car has a flimsy Corola size jack . It struggeled to lift an unladen vehicle then just folded as I was putting the spare on .
Anyway i have my new Atr,s so will be looking for a little off road trip this week.

Theres some good info in this thread about a jack replacement. You'll just have to use the local e-bay threads.

    Off to supa ......

Well got the tyre fixed a puncture in the first hunfred Ks bugga. Now most tyre places would fix that for free but not Jax @ Monavale $40. Never mind im back on the road but this has brought the problem of my spare to light. Its only 18 inch but the tyre profile is higher being a 60 . So overall diameter should be 763 mm same as my 55 19 inch wheels. But i dont like it ,i usualy rotate the 5 tyres around . Anyone got a 19 to sell or swap for some side steps . I have genuine side steps i got recently but im now after something a bit more rock sliderish.
I would love a spare carrier on the back so i could carry 2 spares . Im off to supa ..... To try and get a high lift bottle jack . I threw the other thing in the corner of the garage for now.
