RR looks good! Good to see some more pics of Bighorn muddies. I'm trying to decide what to put on my 110... Interesting you say they're noisey... I have Bighorn's on my Disco and I didn't notice any increase in noise unless I stick my head out the window..

I think i'm too used to no noise whatsoever in the range rover. The bighorns don't make huge noise, just a humming sound that you don't get with road tyres.

It'd be prudent to round the corners for sure. But technically, according to the (I assume) applicable laws about bullbar manafacturing (Iwas reading the ADRs last night) it'd only be illegal if it stuck out beyond the bumper.

So Anzac day i decided to install my UHF Radio. I bought a Uniden UH7760NB because all the controls are on the handset.
I tucked the radio in behind the glove box (small area behind there perfect for hiding things) and wired it up to the fuse box.
I then ran the cable to the handset behind the centre console out to the drivers side footwell and put the handset holder on the left side there.

Turned out really good, now i just have to tackle running the Antenna cable through the firewall into the radio.

Any suggestions??

Hi Healey and while it’s been about 10 years since I did it but from memory, I brought the battery cable to go to the rear of my RR through the firewall behind the glove compartment.

Try dropping the glove compartment shelf and see if you have access there.

I understood, perhaps incorrectly, that any forward pointing bracket on the front of a vehicle was illegal, regardless of whether it was behind the front of the bumper/bull-bar or not.

You could be right Graeme, but I'm not sure how well that is enforced considering the Police run lights on their own cars forward of the bumper on very similar brackets. If I ever got done for that, I'd just point back to the Police car and tell them to book themselves....:D
