    Front door lock won't unlock

Can any one help? My left front door is locked and won't open, the button is down and won't move, tried the key fob button, the dash button, and the door handle pulled twice to unlock? Even tried the key in the drivers door... Would this be an electronic problem or an issue within the door...my passengers think it's cool to have to do a dukes of hazard style entry to get in! Cheers for any ideas.

It sounds like the cable has come out of it's retainer or is broken ! sorry. I will be a bugger of a job from inside the car, unless you or the "NRMA" can break in and pull the lock rod to disengage the lock. There are some PDF's on Brummy's questions about rear glass a few topics below.

Have you tried using tweezers to pull the black button up? This should be able to unlock the door whilst pulling the outside handle.

Welcome to owning an l322!I have this posted somewhere a while ago.Speaking from bitter experience,if the door will not open no matter what, buy a new door staple, open back door which will give you access to said door staple.using a recipro saw VERY carefully cut old door staple through and door will open.Have a new lock standing by.This is a last resort when all else fails.DONT let anyone tell you to cut the door card!!When these things lock they are designed to stay locked.Good luck.

A very late reply to this as I have had yet another lock fail.

Pulling up on the snib doesn't work. When the snib is down, there is an interlock to prevent it being pulled up.

I've just examined two of my locks that I've pulled out (front left and right rear) and it's the same on both.

Curses! It looks like another lock has failed. It won't unlock. I have to open it from the inside.

Once it's been opened from inside, I can close it and reopen from the outside. But after it's been locked, it won't unlock. It makes the right noises but that's it.

This will be the fourth - all doors will now have been done.

    Gaaahh!
