It will fit better than that

That is not right! I had the exact same problem

The little flap does not come off, but there is a big glob of silicon (or similar) sitting in the bottom of the mounting bay - have a look inside, the surface that the rhino part sits on should be flat and level both sides of the threaded hole, the instructions from rhino talk about removing it but to me it looked like part of the casting as it is painted (i couldn't figure it out at first). The glob must be removed (scraped out), then the foot sits in flat, with about a 1-2mm gap between the roof and molded foot.

CS, if you would like to go for a drive to the bayside, I'll show you.

Thanks so much mate - we might find an excuse to come over your way (we are in Ashgrove) if I can't solve the problem (remove the silicon etc) but once this rain stops I will have a look!!

Chris I've been figuring out racks for our trip to the Kimberley next year, damned if I'm happy the bars arrangement with the rack or basket on top. Couple of years ago I had a similar arrangement on my Sport, and on the corrugations on the Gibb the high-tensile bolts simply sheared off, leaving one side of the bars flapping in the breeze.

    Worries me a lot.

Yes, I'm hoping I can resolve the problem as now I have 6 legs/ feet I can save for a Pioneer platform rack which attaches to the same legs I believe; then I can add spare wheel, jerry cans etc when needed.

    Hi Chris

I have a platform rack you can try it on to see if it suits you.

Hi Matthew, can I ask what size you have.

Dont know if I want the 1376mm or 1236mm wide platform

I have the 41102 Pioneer Tray which is 1800mm x 1140mm internal dimensions. It sits a little wide on the top of the Disco4, not that it overhangs, but it covers the whole roof top.

So that would be roughly the same width as the 1236 pioneer platform? I think the platform is an external dimension; your pioneer tray is an internal dimension.

    Any pics from behind?

I'll measure the external dimensions tonight. I have some photo's in my album but nothing square-on from the back. It's not fitted to the car at the moment so I won't be able to get one until I fit it for when we go away next month.

Mine is 142 wide by 210 long, it's definitely as big as you can fit on the L322.

There is a slight overhang on each side.
