275/65 fit fine with minimal scraping.
The only small issue is the rear wheel arch which has a small section jutting out (seen easily with the wheel on) which I add. covering the plastic sheild over the fuel tank filler pipe.
It has an inch of play and you simply whip the wheel off, heat up the wheel arch plastic, then push it in while cooling. BINGO.

I agree with CBH25, I run 275 65 R18 as they are higher then the 285 60 R18.
I got a set of 6 the Nittito Terra Grapplers from Ozzy tires in Canberra for 2G and I could not be happier.
Only problem is they do not fit in the spare wheel well in the back of the car.
Does anyone know if an '08 TDV8 has the same inner guard clearance as the earlier models?
Also, did you guys need 'Johnson Rods' to fit the 275/65/18's or will this size work without lifting the car?
No Johnson rods needed.
Not certain about 08 guards, but I'm pretty sure there's no changes.
Small scraping on access mode while turning.
No scraping in any other mode.
