This is the plate attached to the bar.
Makes all sorts of claims, which I am not fussed about testing out, but it does have a plate which will be useful for licencing.

Well that covers you if there are any issues down the track - I still have my doubts but with that you are all good .

Cheers and I hope the bar works out for you.

My sentiments are much the same as far as the plate, with my principal concern about roos being met by the physical bar.

I have been following this thread for a while and from what I understand now that this bar will cost around $3,000 fitted plus what ever it costs you to get your vehicle to WA. Fuel, food, accom, drinks and any other matters they may occur on the trip over and/or on return.
Sounds to me like a very expensive exercise, could potentially cost upwards of $6,000 depending on the trip. Seems the sticking point is that they "must fit".
Mind you, you could incorporate this in a holiday I suppose.
    Have I missed anything?

Pretty good excuse for a lap of the old red planet! However i would assume that any custom bull bar shop would offer this service. I have a place in Brisbane that said they could do the same thing for around the 3k mark as well.

Is that make, plate and fit?
If it is then that is a different kettle of fish.
Is it an over the bumper (ie. WA one) or replace bumper?

    Cheers

One for those more knowledgeable than me.

Will the L322 05 model bullbar fit a 04 model, that is the bar only or will the mounting bracket fit as well or does it require a different mounting bracket or are they both completely different?

Does anyone know the distance between the two outside chassis bolts on the 04, from outside bolt left rail to outside bolt on the right rail?

    Cheers

Well, it is a great drive across. Had to do it last year to relocate (from Alice Springs).
Wife ways she wants to do it again, particularly the Nullabor and Ceduna, and spend more time looking at the coast.
If looking to get a bar, do call the maker and give them time to organise the making of it, they are WA's only bull bar maker.
Have already "deflected" one roo driving home at night, so it has likely paid for itself already.

When I put mine in to be fitted, they hadn't actually made the brackets up, but the made them up in in a morning, so likely they can make up brackets to suit if there is any real difference between year models of L322's.

So if they didn't actually have the mounting brackets made and make then to suit, how do they certify the bar?

Dont answer I know the answer.
