Hi Chaybra,
A question for you re the bullbars..
Can you find out the distance between the bottom bar and the top centre piece. I have a pair of Fyrlts that are 215mm tall,that I want to put on my rangy.So I'd need say 220mm space for them.

The fiddly bits of the design is the latest stage of development, from all the feed back I have received from the manufacture small changes like that will be no problem.Quote:

Ok, so I have had the meeting with the manufacture, after seeing the car without the bumper etc, they are happy to go ahead with the project! A closer estimated cost is $2000 for a top of the line, bespoke product.
$500 deposits are needed and we need around 10 to get the ball rolling then we move to 3d vehicle scans, design (where your input for the features will help), prototyping, impact testing and final prototype and then manufacture! Realistically 3 to 6 months away.
We are hoping to design a single bull bar that will cover the whole l322 range even with the facelift changes, but we will have to have all types together to see what differences there are exactly...if anyone already knows (In detail) that would also help

As far as differences go;
Behind the bumper & bumper mounting bracket they are the same. The headlights are different with different mounting points but that’s no issue. Bumper profile changes on the 06-09 and different again 10-12, the mount plate behind the bumper is different. The later bumpers will fit directly to the earlier cars if you also change the mounting plate – if you don’t change the plate it can be modified to accept the later bumpers, so the plates must be very close. You can change the plate as a straight bolt on, I assume the plate will be removed. I believe the skirt down to the tow point is slightly different, but behind the cosmetics they are the same.
Only difference I see is the profile of the top of the main bumper to match up with the head lights and grill.
For example - If you put an old bumper on a 2012 car there will be a space between the bumper and lights and possibly the grill.
Is $2000 for steel or alloy? I would think steel will put the TDV8 well over weight on the front.

wow 68kg is a lot of weight to swing that far from the front wheels. It might be = to one person but people don't sit several feet in front of the axle. I suppose that's why ABR ect recommend changing front springs when fitting steel bars to normal 4x4s.
Also looking at the profile of the nissan V L322 lower bumper sections, the L322 will have a larger bar section - I'll bet it goes well over 68.
I believe the reason there's no winch option for the TDV8 is because it is so close to its front axle limit - ie the factory winch kit puts it over.
Seriously considering an alloy version...
