Behind the bumper & bumper mounting bracket they are the same. The headlights are different with different mounting points but that’s no issue. Bumper profile changes on the 06-09 and different again 10-12, the mount plate behind the bumper is different. The later bumpers will fit directly to the earlier cars if you also change the mounting plate – if you don’t change the plate it can be modified to accept the later bumpers, so the plates must be very close. You can change the plate as a straight bolt on, I assume the plate will be removed. I believe the skirt down to the tow point is slightly different, but behind the cosmetics they are the same.
Only difference I see is the profile of the top of the main bumper to match up with the head lights and grill.
For example - If you put an old bumper on a 2012 car there will be a space between the bumper and lights and possibly the grill.
Is $2000 for steel or alloy? I would think steel will put the TDV8 well over weight on the front.
