    Cigarette lighters

    Afternoon all

I have purchased a 2002 L322 V8 petrol and after replacing the gearbox I have the problem of the front cigarette lighters not working. I have checked the fuse wich is all good, checked power at the cig lights and nothing there....Is there a powered fuse or relay that I am missing? The manual states only the one fuse in rear compartment.

The body control computer might be responsible for the ciggy power, might be worth while looking into that

Fused supply from the rear runs through a relay controlled by the BCM. Easy enough to bypass the rear one as you only need a couple of feet of wire. The front one however...

There is also a fuse in the front. The rear is relay controlled as Gav says, however the switch signal for that control is fused behind the glove box.

It is one of the small 5amp fuses - stretching memory but #2 rings a bell. I had this same issue couple years ago.

Heres a pic of accessing the 12v wiring under the lighter.

Gear selector slides straight up and off, so does handbrake wrap. Handbrake leather cover clicks away by pushing / pulling gently inwards toward the handle.

    Hope it helps

I just pulled the center cup holder to give me enough room to access and piggy back for the UHF
