    Tyre size 305/40/22

I have a Vogue TDV8 (3.6) and wondered if anyone has heard of the above size being fitted to 22" rim? If so are there any problems with them?

I have recently purchased this vehicle & would like to put 18" rims on but basically my choices are compomotives with new tyres or stick with the 22" & endeavour to replace the tyres with an A/T (if that's possible) that fits.

    Thanks
    Steve

A FFRR in Jimboomba would be a rare sight (probably true for most places in reality).

I don't know about that size, but a used set of 20" rims might be a viable alternative as this tyre size seems more available.

I may go down that road ... I guess i'm thinking of the most inexpensive way to get a set of decent AT tyres. The best way for me to go would be the Compomotives but then I have to put tyres on them ... works out to a lot of money!! I'll check out the 20" rims.

Yep my 1st choice would be a set of Gordon's 18" GOE rims. However not possible ATM.

I'm currently running 19" rims which are ok for road, beach & light bush work. I needed new tyres until I could decide on an AT option so bought some cheap HTs (Winrun) which are noticeably better than my worn contis. They were a bit of an unknown but have been great so far.

Look into some atturo tyres, they ahve a good range of mud and AT's in larger rim sizes, Im very happy with my 33x12.5R20's despite the noise haha

Saw a set of these recently at local s/h shop that looked like new, first glance, but all were cracking in the side walls; suspect they were driven at low pressure?
LOTS of fine cracks all round.
    But it shouldn't happen!
