This is what i ended up with after replacing the factory unit twice,
Its your bog standard Holden Commodore VL pump (Bosch 070) about $150 new with a lifetime warranty thru bursons.
I also added the small inline screen filter, I dont think this is entirely necessary and in the end made it difficult to fit. but its in now so im not going to take it out. I think you will need to use an adapter to make the smaller inlet hose fit onto the larger bosch inlet. The wires I just cut the pug off and put the eyelet crimps that came with it.
I havent had a drama since.

Also, change the fuel filter in the engine bay, I sill think this had something to do with the premature failure of the pumps
