I take it you mean from the ground to the top of the flat surface where the tow ball would normally be fitted?

I also assume your L322 has the standard Westfalia towbar with 2" hitch receiver.

Do you want the measurement at access, standard, or extended vehicle height?

Hi Ron actually have the std hitch etc however the van drawbar and DO35 hitch are quite high, (Dirt road van). This is the problem...😕

Hi Graeme i have tried the 21181 (305mm long) and it isn't suitable because i can't get it high enough even inverted. The van hitch DO35 is almost 1/3rd the way up the bumper...😕

If its not a long van, is the nose down attitude using the HR 21181 that much of a problem?

21'6" graeme with 15" lt tyres and cruisemaster independent suspension. It was built on an offroad chassis and upgradable to 16" rims if req. Its slightly taller than a dirt roader but not as high as the offroad version with 16" rims. The problem with the lower front is dragging the chains and hitting the bottom of the drawbar over speed humps or washouts/ floodways.

The pin would have to be in the top hole of your treg type hitch...😮
