Nice one Mario, you'll love driving that around.
Well, i rang Dealer to day re pick up time and jokingly said he ripped my off as no tow bar on vehicle.
He said yes there is, factory fitted, and wired and a brake controller , So used to tripping over goose necks on all other cars that I never noticed it had one. I was still sedated on anesthetic when i bought it.( thanks my excuse and I'm sticking to it.) ;)
Well Mario is like a cat on a hot tin roof, or a kid at Christmas time. Gets up early, gets on to the business answering phone calls and emails to get them out of the way. Rings the dealer to see if he could pick it up earlier, but he will have to wait until 5pm to pick it up.:( If he could be happy like this all the time I would be happy :wasntme: Heather.
Now if he could only work out how to open the fuel filler everything will be perfect :D
Deano :)
Well i drove it, have to gert used to actually having good vision and not looking at the top of the windscreen like the D2. Also great to be able to see all the dials on the dash and info on the information screen, not like the D2s with their hidden switches behind the steering wheel.
Takes a bit of getting used to not having great vision out the rear window with the head rests blocking the view.
When I took delivery and was about to drive off, I wasn't sure that the engine was running, I piushed on the accelerator peddle to check there was revs., Did the same at the Servo when I filled it up, i wasn't sure if it was running. They are so quiet!
Pretty stoked, I feel like the King of the road,:D
Still working my way around the controls.
When I got home, i had a problem :( I switched off and could still hear the heater fan running., it won't switch off.
I rang the dealer and he said sometimes the ignition key barrel doesn't release on these models, try the ignition keys wiggle to see if it stops. or if no good disconnect the battery so I don't have a flat in the morning.
I did that and fan stopped. I reconnected it for a few seconds and the fan didn't come back on. So let it disconnected until tomorrow. I spoke to dealer tonight and he said to bring it in to have them look at it.
Whilst I was at the dealer I had a sit in a sport, too snug for my liking, not as roomy as the L322, which says space. Sat in a D4 nice but again snug.
Evoque, not my cup of tea sorry. The L322 has that Yank tank roomy feel that appeals to me.
What's that you say? Quiet? Beg pardon, I'm a trifle deaf from my diesel range rover.. Bloody thing makes a racket.
There's a lot going on with the electronics in these. Some of the fans can run for up to 5 minutes after you switch the car off and lock it. The fuel cooler fan will often run for a while, the engine fans only seem to run on on hot days and the interior will always make some noise. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, sounds normal to me.
Don't worry about the strange faint fan noises inside with the ignition off when you open the door in the morning - they do that too.
Lots of new noises to get used to. :)
I'm not sure with the older l322.
I know in my later model once I turn it off some stuff still runs until I lock it.
Not sure about the fans still running though.
There are def some computers and bits behind the dash that run and make noises.
Quite often after I stop everything times out about a minute or two later.
Sit in the car for 5 mins after you remove the key and see if it stops.
Or sit in the car and press the central locking key on the fob to lock it and see if it stops.
