codes displayed on dash on startup?

When I turn on the key, a code is displayed in the odometer spot for a few seconds (flashing) before being replaced by the odometer reading.
This morning it displayed -3050, and last night 2200 ...
Do these mean anything? Is there a glossary somewhere?

Distance to service ? It will count down and then become a negative as it passes the set schedule.

That makes sense in that the last oil change was done at 329875ks when I got back from Tassie, but I did not reset service flag. Something to add to the list. Last nights number may have just been my eyesight in the dark!
I'll keep an eye on it.

I have to pull the dash to replace a bulb, too. I should get the pixels fix done at the same time but it is expensive. I bought a ribbon cable fix kit but I'm unsure that I should try it.

I had a blown dash bulb on the speedo display. To replace it the top dash pad needs to come off to. Pretty easy job just time consuming.
The 2 plastic dash end trims clip off, then the side top vents need to be removed to gain access to the woodgrain side trims screws, remove them, then just unbolt the big dash pad torx screws and a couple of small torx screws. Lift the dash pad and remove. The dash pad at the windscreen end just clips under some tangs to hold it. The instrument binnacle is then held in by 2 small torx screws and lifts out of a slide in fitting, then you can replace the bulbs. don't bother with Land rover, they have no stock of the bulbs, I got narva ones that bursons ordered in for me.
The LCD speedo display pixels if stuffed you can buy a kit to replace. like this

Just an FYI - the ribbon cable replacement on the radio is VERY difficult to get right, the speedo is even harder. If you don't have highly refined skills working on equipment like this and all the tools I'd leave it to the experts - and I play with electronics regularly and have decent tools to be doing it with.

Even if you get it working again, chances are it won't be for long.

I had limited success with the radio when I did mine - I watched someone do a speedo - way beyond my skill level and most others I'd think. You can send them OS to be done, but it's not the cheapest.

Oh, and to the OP - JC is correct it's a service interval counter. Can be reset without a diagnostic tool - there's a thread in 'The Good Oil' on how to do it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
