    Suspension getting a bit rattly

Our 2004 TD6 which we have had from new has 170,000 km up.
The front struts/air bags have been replaced and the rest of the suspension is original.
Before this very old mechanic who no longer likes crawling under cars starts to investigate, can you offer guidance as to components that may be failing at the km the car has done?
Fortunately a friend will lend me his hoist so that will help.
Getting a heads up on components to check will be a help also.

In regard to lower front arms: can they be re-bushed or do I have to get complete new with ball joints?
In regard to ball joints: Can anyone direct me to a ball joint removal tool that is readily available and will fit the car?

    Hi
I have just finished replacing my front suspension parts upper and lower balljoint and arms.
Easy work. I like the idea to have a hoist as you mentioned to make it easy instead of crawling under the car.
    My car has done 290,000km
